What is Domain or DNS Propagation?
Ans. DNS Propagation is the period of time after the nameserver information has been changed on a domain name. The reason there is delay is because your domain name’s address information has to be sent to all the other name servers that exist in the world. These nameservers update at different rates and times, depending how they have been configured by their systems administrators.
Name servers are designed to record the IP addresses of domains in their memory (known as their cache) for a specific period of time (their purpose is to resolve human friendly domain names, to computer friendly IP addresses). This speeds up the process of looking up an IP address for a domain name.
Generally 24 - 48 hours should be allowed after the domain’s DNS information is changed at your domain registrar, after which everyone else in the world can see the changes in your domain.
